Ongoing Support

Our Counsellor focuses on supporting our neurodivergent clients, post diagnosis:

Why a Counsellor?

To make accessing sessions more affordable (we keep the rates low to offset the Medicare rebate)

To provide immediate support for understanding your neurodivergence, identify strategies, and help with workplace or school accommodation applications.

Currently, we have no waitlist, which is a win!

We help you with your NDIS application and support you while you wait for your funding. This can take months, and we see the need for immediate support post-diagnosis. Once your funding is through, we will help you transition to a psychologist.

We also believe in lived experience, passion and knowledge within the affirming space above qualifications and titles. Our counsellor is a rockstar! (not literally...unfortunately)

We provide sessions via telehealth after hours, so you can access support until 10 pm if this suits you)

We even offer further reduced rates and pro-bono sessions for those in need.

Why a Psychologist?

Psychologists likely have more extensive education and clinical training and are registered with a professional regulatory body (like AHPRA in Australia). They are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health challenges and can use evidence-based therapies tailored to complex or high-needs presentations.

While counsellors provide valuable support for everyday challenges, life transitions, and emotional well-being, psychologists are better equipped for more intensive interventions, formal assessments (like cognitive, behavioural, or diagnostic assessments), and support planning for mental health disorders and difficulties.

Our Psychologist works in Miranda and Oran Park and sees both children and adults. Medicare rebates may be claimable with a mental health care plan from your GP, and autistic children requiring ongoing support (and awaiting NDIS funding) may be able to access rebated sessions with a referral from their paediatrician.
