Many hours of professional development, hundreds of assessments, writing and rewriting reports, receiving great feedback (and some future recommendations) from parents, teachers, and professionals, and a whole lot of sweat (and swear words) have gone into developing this template. The hope is that it can guide psychologists into completing affirming autism assessments and reports for children, whether the MIGDAS-2 or the ADOS-2 is utilised.

The report includes guidance on:

- What sections to include

- What assessments to use to inform diagnosis

- How to interpret the results and provide easy-to-understand explanations for parents and teachers

- How to include a functional assessment that can inform NDIS support applications

- How to provide recommendations and accommodation guidelines that are useful

- How to usefullt discuss differentials and co-occurrences

All language used is affirming and strengths-based! Over 40 pages of template :)

NOTE:

The assessments and interpretations are those of psychologist Tyla Stroebel and should be adapted to your clients' clinical preferences and preferred assessments.

If you are to use the mentioned assessments in the future, please ensure that you have adequate training in them.

Assessments used are Tyla Stroebel's preferred choice and are in no way assumed to be the "best way" to assess or diagnose autism.

The report's scores, interpretations, and the choice of module, level, or form are used as examples.

It is assumed that the template is used as a guideline and that the assessing psychologist ensures that the information is client-focused and amended according to the client's needs, presentations, and accommodations.
